people to join our world-class team. We are seeking a meticulous
and experienced Quality Inspector to uphold the highest standards
of quality for our products. The Quality Inspector will perform
detailed inspections at various stages of production, including
receiving, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring compliance
with technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
This role requires proficiency with precision measurement tools and
a keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure product
integrity. *Employment in this role is contingent on Astrolab being
selected as a winner of NASA’s LTVS program.* What you'll do:
Receiving Inspections including incoming packages for gross damage;
verification of part number, revision, quantity, and proper Quality
Clause documentation per the supplier Quality Manual; dimensional
verification to the print and other specification callouts like
part marking, etc. In-Process & Final Inspections including
closeout reviews for proper installation, wiring, and
functionality; ensure no foreign object debris is present; validate
revision, part numbers, flight pedigree, and lot serial numbers;
visual inspections for damage; validate conformance to drawing
specifications; review test packages; and confirm all contract
deliverables are met Lead calibration for the organization Build
procedure review and approval Material review board process
includes issue ticket review and physical part movement Conduct
additional hand tool measurements and visual inspections as needed,
utilizing calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gauges, etc.
What you'll bring: Proven experience in quality inspection,
preferably in an Aerospace manufacturing or technical environment
Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Proficiency with precision
measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore
gauges) Familiarity with industry standards and technical
documentation Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret
engineering drawings and specifications Excellent problem-solving
skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Basic
computer skills for data entry and documentation Work Environment
This role may involve standing for extended periods and working in
a production or warehouse setting Ability to lift 50 lbs. and
