1st shift: (5:00am - 1:30pm)

Job Description

The Test Technician, completes work according to instructions, specifications and procedures. Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity and on-time delivery.

Job Core Responsibilities

Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical testing of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures
Reviews shop traveler route card, or schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation
Perform a variety of test to verify circuitry and to test effectiveness of components in amplifiers and electronic equipment.
Receive parts or units from customers and troubleshoots circuits and components using schematic drawings and prints as a verifying check.
Perform test and diagnostics using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, frequency counters and other related test equipment
Sets up test equipment and tests per specification
Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the micro component level
Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering
Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
Maintains a safe and clean work environment, an acceptable safety record and follows company safety rules
Other responsibilities as assigned
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary


Education:

A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations



Certifications:

Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field



Years Experience:

2 years or more of relevant experience


Skills:

Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics.
Strong knowledge in testing, debugging and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions
Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures
Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications



REQUIREMENTS:
Must Haves (Required):

Can conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level and can provide detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering.
Has knowledge of electrical test equipment (i.e. oscilloscope, multimeters, power supplies...etc.).
Can perform maintenance and alteration tasks in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' instructions.
Quality Assurance Background, experience with Drawings, Procedures, Work Instructions, Inspection, Audits, Material Review Board, dealing with nonconformances and implementing corrective actions.

Nice to Haves:

2+ years of industry-related experience in a manufacturing environment , Team Player.
Preferred Certifications/Credentials: IPS620
