Job Description:

Position: Multi-Platform Systems EngineerForza Silicon, a Business Unit in the Materials Analysis Division of AMETEK, Inc., is seeking a Multi-Platform Systems Engineer to report to the Director. The role involves supporting the Forza Engineering and administrative staff by deploying, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual Linux/Windows servers and workstations.Primary Responsibilities include:

• Managing Linux Servers (CentOS / RedHat / Ubuntu), including application programs, operating systems, and infrastructure.
• Installing tools and applications on Linux systems.
• Configuring and maintaining Linux, Windows, and macOS workstations.
• Creating and maintaining shell scripts.
• Managing license servers.
• Providing technical support via phone, chat, or video, and documenting resolutions.
• Troubleshooting issues with Linux tools.
• Ensuring cybersecurity by addressing vulnerabilities and conducting security audits.
• Implementing software upgrades, patches, and hardware changes.
• Managing data backups, integrity, and availability.
• Maintaining documentation of systems and activities.
• Monitoring system performance and availability daily.Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of IT experience in Linux server installation, maintenance, and administration.
• Experience with Linux (CentOS / RedHat / Ubuntu), command line, scripting, VPN troubleshooting, virtualization, and access control.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to document technical processes effectively.
