Our dedication to delivering the highest quality products and unique business positioning, provides our team members with the unique ability to contribute in a larger capacity than is possible in typical positions.Position DescriptionAs an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:Designs electrical power, lighting, and low voltage systems for office and industrial functions supporting medical device design and manufacturingSurvey existing Electrical Equipment and Systems in preparation for designs for alterations and additionsSurvey Record Documents in preparation for designs for alterations and additionsAssist in preparation of conceptual Electrical Power scope of work during feasibility phaseDesign Electrical Power alterations and additions to existing facilitiesPrepare documents for plan check submittal using AutoCAD 2020Prepare electrical specificationsPrepare photometric maps using lighting analysis softwarePrepare energy compliance formsDesign low-voltage pathway alterations and additions to existing facilitiesReview Requests for Information during the course of constructionReview Electrical Shop Drawings, Product Data, and Samples submittals during the course of constructionReview designs prepared by contracted consulting electrical engineers for constructabilityAssist Facilities Construction in field verification of electrical work at appropriate stages of constructionParticipate in revising and updating AMR's Facilities Design standards when neededSurvey existing electrical equipment and systems to verify existing conditionsUpdate electrical power system Record DrawingsConsults with Facilities Design Team regarding feasibility of potential alterations or additions to facilitiesConsults with Facilities Maintenance in-house and contracted crews regarding Electrical Power, Lighting, and Communications distribution systemsPositionRequirementsThis position requires the following skills and attributes:5 years, minimum, designing electrical power, lighting systems, and communications pathwaysBachelor degree in electrical power engineering from a university accredited by Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology or the Institute of Electrical and Electronic EngineersKnowledge of Construction Specification Institute (CSI) format related to description of facilities electrical power, lighting, and communications cabling.California Electrical CodeCalifornia Energy CodeExperience with AutoCAD 2020Lighting software, such as Visual or AGi32Electrical Design software, such as SKM Power ToolsKnowledge of detailing and drawing standardsMS Outlook, Word, ExcelPreferredThe following skills and attributes are preferred:Professional Engineer with current License to practice Electrical Engineering in CaliforniaBenefitsTraining and mentorship with ongoing learning and development coursesOn-campus wellness activitiesComprehensive medical and dental and vision coverageEducation reimbursement program401(k) program with discretionary employer matchGenerous vacation accrual and paid holiday scheduleJobSummarySDL2017
