This role offers the opportunity to tackle challenging design problems, take ownership of their products to ensure designs meet technical specifications and business goals, and be involved in all aspects of product development - design, prototyping, development, testing, and manufacturing production. Electrical Engineer III's will handle both analog and digital board-level designs, which often include FPGAs, ADCs / DACs, RAM, power supplies, peripherals, analog RF front-ends, and embedded systems.The engineer will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities: Perform research as required to define, specify, and develop products Oversee product development from concept through manufacturing and release Facilitate support required from other R groups, Manufacturing, Product Marketing, and other departments to ensure successful development and timely product release Share your technical knowledge and advise others on electrical engineering technologies and circuit design Lead team to develop product documentationPreferred:This position requires the following skills and attributes:Minimum 3 to 5 years work experience in analog/digital/mixed-signal design with proven experiance in both frequency-domain and time-domain designs, and control systems design BS/MS in electrical engineering or computer engineering Strong knowledge of hardware design principles including designs using high-speed interfaces, RF front-ends, and FPGA-based boards. Strong knowledge of and experience in: analog to digital and digital to analog converters; power supply components and design; analog testing/troubleshooting techniques; signal integrity, layout, and grounding principles; basic digital design fundamentals; FPGAs Passion for learning about and working with analog, digital, & other computer technologies Experience with the following: matlab/simulink; high speed transceivers; kinematics implementation; encoders and torque sensors; video image processing Strong work ethic and drive to succeed Ability to work in a fast paced environment Demonstrated ability to: apply diagnostic insight to identify technical problems, propose viable options, and apply technical solutions; quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products; take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently; work effectively in a team development environment; persistently drive tasks and projects to successful completion; take ownership of goals and schedules; manage time well; enjoy problem solving; grasp and engage in fast-paced technical conversations English language competency and effective communication skillsBenefits:Training and mentorship with ongoing learning and development coursesOn-campus wellness activitiesComprehensive medical and dental and vision coverageEducation reimbursement program401(k) program with discretionary employer matchGenerous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule
