Position Description As a R&D Engineer II, you will use skills related to design and development of medical device components and fixtures as part of a cross-functional team.ResponsibilitiesCreate Solidworks models, drawings and assembliesBuild functional prototypes for device developmentPerform engineering testingDebug via root cause analysisInvestigate new tooling, materials, manufacturing processes and technologiesResearch and qualify new suppliers and vendorsComplete documentation of design efforts for the Design History FileDevelop, update, and peer-review engineering documents such as instructions, drawings, test procedures, and reportsCollaborate with tooling design teams (MIM, Stamping, Molding, etc.) Position Requirements Requirements1-2 years of relevant engineering work experience.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)Experience with CAD modeling and drafting (i.e. Solid Works)Experience with working hands-on to create prototypesExperience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Excellent technical writingAbility to understand, analyze, and troubleshoot complex systemsAbility to develop innovative solutions to complex problemsAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teamsAbility to work and generate solutions independentlyEffective oral and written communication skills Preferred Preferred QualificationsExperience in the medical device industryUnderstanding of manufacturing and quality standards, including FDA regulations and ISO quality systemsExperience with software such as Netweaver / Product Life-Cycle ManagementExperience with Minitab or statistical analysis softwareExperience with leading a team or projectExcellent organization, communication, and documentation skills Benefits Training and mentorship with ongoing learning and development courses On-campus wellness activities Comprehensive medical and dental and vision coverage Education reimbursement program 401(k) program with discretionary employer match Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule Options Apply for this position online Apply Share Email this position to a friend Refer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
