We invest heavily in R&D, advanced technologies and most importantly - the growth of our team members.Applied Medical is proud to have a culture firmly grounded in teamwork, collaboration and regulatory compliance, while providing opportunities for growth and choice in individual career paths.Position Description As a CNC Machine Operations Engineer, you will use skills related to sustaining and improving production manufacturing processes as part of a cross-functional team.Develop and sustain manufacturing processesDebug manufacturing processes and equipment via root cause analysisRun, observe and expedite shop ordersDevelop and update engineering documents such as process maps, process FMEA, Manufacturing/Quality Instructions, test methods, drawings, and test reportsCollaborate with the Production team to identify capabilities and capacityCollaborate with the Engineering team for fixturing design and development, tolerancing, and design for manufacturingCollaborate with tooling design teams (MIM, Stamping, Molding, etc.)Investigate new tooling, materials, manufacturing processes, and technologiesResearch and qualify new suppliers and vendorsPositionRequirements1-2 years of relevant Engineering work experienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent) Experience with manufacturing equipment and processesExperience with computer-aided design (i.e. SolidWorks), spreadsheets, scheduling programs, and word processingExcellent technical writingExperience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Working knowledge of a variety of materials and mechanical designsAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teamsEffective oral and written communication skillsTechnical aptitude and detail oriented Mechanical/Machining Engineering with 2-3yrs minimum of CNC milling/programming/designPreferredExperience in the medical device industryUnderstanding of manufacturing and quality standards, including FDA regulations and ISO quality systems Experience with software such as NetWeaver/Product Lifecycle Management Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis softwareLeadership or project management experienceExcellent organization, communication and documentation skillsBenefitsTraining and mentorship with ongoing learning and development coursesOn-campus wellness activitiesComprehensive medical and dental and vision coverageEducation reimbursement program401(k) program with discretionary employer matchGenerous vacation accrual and paid holiday scheduleJobSummarySDL2017
