Position Description As a Electrical Engineer II, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities: Schematic design of new and innovative projects Analyze the hardware and firmware of embedded medical electrical systems with an emphasis on power management, digital and analog controls, and low frequency (500 kHz) high power (500 W) RF amplification Participate in firmware creation for programmable logic devices such as DSPs, FPGAs, and CPLDs Participate in hardware and firmware design reviews Provide design know how for external vendors and supplier development Support other groups during integration of hardware, firmware, and software Test and troubleshoot PCBAs and system level electrical systems Develop, update, and peer-review engineering documents such as instructions, drawings, test procedures and reports Position Requirements This position requires the following skills and attributes: 4 year degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or related engineering degree Electronics troubleshooting skills with ability to use oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other lab equipment Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to effectively communicate hardware and firmware details to team members of all levels Ability to perform individually and in a team environment Ability to understand, analyze, and troubleshoot complex systems Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex systems Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Ability to lead team members through the design and development process.
