join our team as a Cyber Systems Engineer/Principal Cyber Systems
Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As a Cyber Systems
Engineer/Principal Cyber Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you

Responsibilities: Perform as a consultant in highly specialized,
leading edge information technologies and methodologies Perform
hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
Comply with cyber requirements, which may include routine system
checks for antivirus, logging, and network system services
Recommend and implement approved system enhancements that will
improve the performance and reliability of the system including
installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and
configuration management Solve complex problems across disciplines
in an Agile, Networking, and Software environment Opportunity to
travel for system installations, test support, and customer demos
This position may be filled as a Cyber Systems Engineer or
Principal Cyber Systems Engineer. Qualifications: Basic
Qualifications for Cyber Systems Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in
Cybersecurity, Software, or related STEM degree field with 2 years
of experience; or 0 years experience with a Master's (MS) degree An
additional 4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu
of a Bachelors degree. Knowledge of Cisco networks and JavaScript
Experience with Ansible Understanding of environmental monitoring
tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk) Must be US Citizen Clearance: The
ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required
Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Software, or related STEM
degree field with 5 years of experience; or 3 years experience with
a Master's (MS) degree; or 1 year of experience with a STEM PhD An
additional 4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu
of a Bachelors degree. Knowledge of Cisco networks and JavaScript
Experience with Ansible Understanding of environmental monitoring
tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk) Must be US Citizen Clearance: The
ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to analyze DISA STIG rules as
well as vendor hardening guides, determine feasibility on
individual networks, and implement cyber best practices to
configure and harden network operating systems. Knowledge of
Juniper networks Experience with Microsoft Server, Windows domain
architectures, Windows Active Directory, LDAP, VMWare, and
knowledge of SAN storage systems Red Hat Operating System
experience and/or certification for current versions Knowledge of
Python and PowerShell scripting. Experience with creation and
deployment of system images in an enterprise environment. DoD 8570
Level 2 Certification, such as Security CE Primary Level Salary
Range: $101,000.00 - $151,400.00 Secondary Level Salary Range:
$125,300.00 - $187,900.00 The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The application period
