Engineer/Java Developer with strong fundamentals to implement, and
design, novel algorithms and software features to meet mission
needs. Experience integrating with external components and APIs and
working with schemas is important. The candidate must also be able
to test their software at all levels (unit test, integration test,
system test), and will be responsible for deploying and maintaining
operational and test systems, along with troubleshooting ad hoc
site issues as they come up.Because this role involves a
combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it
will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between
working onsite and remotely.#SWSDRequired Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
and 8+ years of experience.
- Strong Java foundation, including:
- Write unit tests in JUnit
- Ability to debug source code
- Use Maven to manage dependencies and package software
- Work with third-party libraries and documentation
- Write robust code with appropriate error checking and
handling
- Integration experience, including:
- Minimal Linux experience
- Deploy docker images in Kubernetes environments
- Interpret logs and validate data analytics
- Understand complex system architectures and debug errors
spanning multiple components
- Must have a strong understanding of sound software development
principles and practices
- Must be able to plan and prioritize personal tasking and be
able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high
quality work, both independently and with a team, in a fast-moving
environment.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in software development on Agile teams using Agile
Developer practices
- Familiar with Rancher, RHEL 8 and Java17 platform
- Familiar with Spring Boot
- Familiar with Postgres DB, Kafka and Redis
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology,
SAFe Agilest Certification, or past experience as a member of an
agile team.
- Experience writing and deploying applications using Helm
- Experience with React.js, Angular.js or Ember.jsPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
