Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Redlands, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,814 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Redlands, California, 92373! Job Title: Labor & Delivery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid License required Certifications: - Required: ACLS; AWHONN Advanced; BLS; NRPC - Preferred: AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: - Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience required - E/O weekend required Description: Labor & Delivery RN for community hospital. Minimum 2 years of experience required. Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience required. Available interdisciplinary support includes Interpretation Services, IV Teams, Lift Teams, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Transportation, and Unit Secretary. Provider coverage includes Hospitalist and Anesthesiologist. Omnicell medication system, Meditech Expanse EMR, and SBAR communication will be used. Assist with sterile speculum exam for effacement, dilation, station, and presentation. Conduct Non-Stress Tests (NST). Perform reflex checks, edema assessments, and clonus evaluations. Conduct sterile vaginal examinations and use External Fetal Monitoring (EFM). Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Start and maintain peripheral IVs and use infusion pumps, drips, and IV monitoring. Administer medications including anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, and pitocin (oxytocin). Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for Cesarean sections. Recover patients post-Cesarean section and collect cord samples. Ensure proper identification and security banding for infants. Provide neonatal resuscitation and lactation support. Manage pain assessment and administration of opioids. Perform episiotomy and incisional care. Conduct Foley catheter insertion and ensure proper fundus, lochia, and perineum care. Handle multiple births and manage cases of postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension. Experience with D&C and tubal ligation procedures is required. Basic Fetal Monitoring required or Introduction to Fetal Monitoring required within 1 month of hire for new graduate RNs or RNs with no Labor & Delivery experience. Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required upon hire for experienced RNs or within 9 months for new graduate RNs or RNs with no Labor & Delivery experience. Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years of employment. Daily patient ages include neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census is 5 patients with approximately 6 visits per day. Unit has 10 beds available.
