Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Los Angeles, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,010 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery License: Required Certifications: - ACLS - AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring - BLS Certification - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certificate Must-Have: - Experience with high-risk deliveries - Familiarity with pitocin, mag sulfate, insulin drips Description: The unit has 12 L&D beds, 10 triage beds, and 12 antepartum beds. Approximately 200 births occur each month. Certifications required for this position include NRP, BLS, ACLS, and advanced fetal monitoring. Nurse ratios follow AWOHNN guidelines. The fetal monitoring system used is Fetal Link, and the EMR is Cerner. Charge nurses take patient assignments as needed. Two OB technicians are scheduled per shift to assist in deliveries and c-sections. The weekend requirement is every other weekend. There is no call requirement for this position. Holidays include one major and two minor. Scrub color is provided and must be sterile. No vents are handled on the unit. There are two OB attendings and one neonatologist on site 24/7. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 from NICU. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts are 12 hours, from 7 AM to 7 PM. C-section experience is required, including circulating and scrubbing. Staff may float to antepartum and postpartum units. Floor-specific orientation consists of three shifts in the unit. Common diagnoses include high-risk factors such as blood pressure issues, multiples, diabetes, lack of prenatal care, and substance abuse. Important to note, acrylic and overlay nails are not permitted during the assignment. The hospital has a cancellation policy where shifts may be canceled under certain conditions. Charting is done using Cerner. A BSN is not required for this position. The care setting is acute. Trauma level is unspecified.
