Job Description:
A company is looking for a Patient Financial Advocate -
Financial Counseling.
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients in navigating financial responsibilities and
prepare estimated costs of services
Resolve patient account disputes and establish payment agreements
or charity care
Communicate with various departments for problem resolution and
ensure timely responses to patient inquiries
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in a high-volume customer service environment,
preferably in healthcare
In-depth knowledge of patient accounts, collections, and insurance
regulations
Familiarity with third-party payers, Medicare, and billing
practices
Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding requirements
